A week at on of our Italian cooking schools in Tuscany will inspire you with the passion of the Italian kitchen. Rated by The Observer newspaper as one of the "Top 10 Cookery Schools in Europe" our Italian cooking schools are located in the "Cantina" of beautiful Casa Ombuto or the magnificent Torre del Tartufo, both large recently restored large Tuscan villas set in the stunning and tranquil hills of the Casentino valley some 50km south of Florence, Italy.

Our Italian cooking schools at the luxurious Casa Ombuto or Torre del Tartufo are designed to immerse you in the culture and lifestyle of Tuscany and teach you to cook authentic Italian dishes in an informal and friendly environment.

Your hosts at the Italian cooking schools are Paola Baccetti at Casa Ombuto and Franco Palandra at Torre del Tartufo, both successful chefs who will teach you the traditional Italian way to make many Tuscan dishes.

Paola's and Franco's Italian cooking schools offer a comprehensive hands on course designed to teach you to make splendid 4 course Italian dinners covering all the basic Italian cooking techniques, from pasta to pastries and everything in between. Each course has its own charm, let Paola teach you her passion of the Traditional Tuscan cuisine at Casa Ombuto or let Franco Palandra show you what wonderful things you can make with truffles from Torre del Tartufo as the estate of this villa includes 2 hectares of Truffle land.

Italian Cooking Schools
All of the ingredients you will use at our Italian cooking schools are bought each morning from local markets and so you will be working with fresh fruit and vegetables in season. Throughout your time at our Italian cooking school you will learn about the ingredients and the traditions around the dishes as well as food presentation and wine choice. For those of you interested in learning more about the Mediterranean cuisine we now run an Italian Mediterranean Cookery Course at our Italian cookery courses that focuses on great dishes from not only Italy, but France, Spain and Morocco.

Our Italian cooking schools week run from Saturday to Saturday in Casa Ombuto and Sunday to Sunday in Torre del Tartufo and include 4 elaborate hands-on cooking sessions with enough time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. A one-day excursion will be organized to visit a vineyard for wine tasting, as well as to a local producer of olive oil and time for shopping. It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner to one of our Italian cooking schools, and they can spend the days sightseeing, or playing golf before re-rejoining the party for the evening meals.
